What is Verb Tense Consistency?

Lewis W. asks, "What does verb tense consistency mean?"

Here's a simple and direct answer from Thomas.

Verb tense, after all, is simply how a verb shows the time of an action, that is, whether connects to the past, present, or future.

Verb tense consistency, then, is simply using the same tense to talk about the same time.
