What is an object of a preposition?

Cozy Grammar with Marie and Thomas

In the Basic Cozy Grammar Course, Marie introduces the concept of grammatical objects.

Intermediate Grammar for Growing Minds

The work on the updated and greatly expanded Intermediate Cozy Grammar Course, Levels One and Two continues.

We plan to release Level One this June!

Here's a still of Marie giving an example of an object of a preposition:

The waves roll across the rocks [object of the preposition].

The preposition across introduces the phrase. The noun rock is its object.

I hope this finds you and your family healthy and happy.

Warmly,

Thomas
