The Basic Cozy Essay Writing Course
Join Marie for a relaxed tutorial that will demystify essay writing. As she herself explains, "When you do not know how to write an essay, it can be a fearsome assignment. The majority of college and university professors will expect that you already possess this skill. Unfortunately, studies prove that is rarely the case. In an effort to fill this gap, I have created The Basic Cozy Essay Course." Walk with Marie through her neighbor's garden and among the tidal pools on the beach as she supplies you with all the tools you need for writing an essay in an introduction and five complete and comprehensive lessons.
The Intermediate Cozy Grammar Course Level 1
Just as you must study a higher level of music theory in order to advance from "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to a Beethoven Sonata, so too you must study higher levels of grammar in order to master a language and improve your ability to become an effective communicator. The Intermediate Cozy Grammar Course Level 1 begins where The Basic Cozy Grammar Course left off. Once again Marie invites you to her cozy cottage on the beach to teach you all about the inflection of nouns, verbs, and pronouns in an introduction and thirty-one lessons.
The Intermediate Cozy Grammar Course Level 2

Watch Marie's answer in this excerpt from the Basic Cozy Grammar Course.
There is a perception in our society that people who do not write well are not very intelligent, and that people who are not very intelligent are not worth listening to. This perception may be highly inaccurate, but it exists nonetheless.
George Orwell, English author and journalist wrote, "If people cannot write well, they cannot think well, and if they cannot think well, others will do their thinking for them."
Writing is all about communicating ideas. Writing that is full of errors is not only difficult to read, but may be misinterpreted if you have failed to provide clarity of meaning through the use of correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. While mediocre writers abound, in both the classroom and the labor force, someone who writes skillfully will stand out and be more likely to be given the opportunity to follow their dreams.
I was motivated to participate in the production of these Cozy Grammar courses for two reasons. First, I am aware of the public's concerns and impressions, whether rightly or wrongly, about the lack of language skills demonstrated by students today. Second, I wanted to get out of the classroom—to present grammar in an everyday setting. The coziness of a home, the familiarity of a garden, the fascination of a beach, and the ever changing moods of the Pacific Coast weather make a stimulating setting for teaching a potentially dry and boring subject.
Grammar, punctuation, spelling, and essay structure are fundamental tools of English. No one fails if they have the tools!
